Newly released from Candle Books are two great little volumesfor preschool age children and their parents.

Donkey to the Rescue is a charming little board book retellsChrist's parable of the Good Samaritan from Luke 15:11-31 fromthe perspective of the Samaritan's donkey, who was also alongfor the ride! The book places an emphasis on the emotions of thedonkey, which mirror the types of feelings young children gothrough on a daily basis: grumpy, hot, tired and perhaps not inthe mood to help out! Donkey and his rider take time out oftheir day to help a man in need, reinforcing the concept that weshould take time to be of service to anyone we encounter alongour path that might need a helping hand. The book contains areference to the passage in Luke where this story is told, toencourage parent and child to explore the Bible together.

Global Warming Heating Up…or Cooling Down?
Man’s original home in the Garden of Eden was perfectly suitable for living—forever. How so? Before God created the first man out of the elements of Earth, God took time to prepare the Earth which for untold time had been "without form and void," when "darkness was upon the face of the deep" (Gen 1:2). During the creative days He then proceeded to prepare the earth for man’s habitation. The Three Destinies of Man
Tragic events so prevalent in our day cause many to seek answers about life, death and the hereafter. Frequently asked questions are: "What is to become of me after I die? Is death the end?" "Will I go to heaven, or will I go to hell because I've backslid?" "What happens to the billions who have never heard of Christ?" In answer to these questions, our response is that God has illustrated in His Word three different paths which lead to three different destinies.Putting Out the Fires of Anarchy
"Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the "fire" of my jealousy. For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent [‘shoulder to shoulder’ NAS]." Zephaniah 3:8-9
