God;s Angels Don't Know The Future!
When I read The Bible in the book of Daniel, I have come to the conclusion that the angel who told Daniel to go to his rest until the last days didn’t know that Jesus Christ was coming in six hundred years to set Daniel and all the saints free. In the New King James Version, Jesus Christ said in Matthew, Chapter 24 and Verse 36:
“But of that day and hour no one knows, no, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.“
If you read the whole Chapter 12 of the book of Daniel, you can see that the chapter was talking about the last days. The angel was talking to Daniel and pointing to the last days in Chapter 12, Verse 4 when he said that travel and knowledge will greatly increase. However, our focus for this article is Daniel, Chapter 12, Verse 13. This has to be a great insight into what the angel told the prophet Daniel. Let me quote from God’s Word:
“But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.”
Can you see the significance of this verse 13? It shows how God’s Word stands on its own authority. This verse is amazing because the angel didn’t know that Jesus Christ was coming in six hundred years to set all of us free from all of our sins. There would be no more sacrifices on the altar by anyone. He died on the cross for you and me as the supreme sacrifice! After Jesus Christ’s death, He rose again to life eternal. At that time, He set all the saints free, including the thief who hung next to Him on the Cross, so they could be with Him in heaven . In an instant, He forgave the thief all of his sins!
From what Christ said, we know that only the Father knows the time
Global Warming Heating Up…or Cooling Down? Man’s original home in the Garden of Eden was perfectly suitable for living—forever. How so? Before God created the first man out of the elements of Earth, God took time to prepare the Earth which for untold time had been "without form and void," when "darkness was upon the face of the deep" (Gen 1:2). During the creative days He then proceeded to prepare the earth for man’s habitation. The Three Destinies of Man Tragic events so prevalent in our day cause many to seek answers about life, death and the hereafter. Frequently asked questions are: "What is to become of me after I die? Is death the end?" "Will I go to heaven, or will I go to hell because I've backslid?" "What happens to the billions who have never heard of Christ?" In answer to these questions, our response is that God has illustrated in His Word three different paths which lead to three different destinies. Putting Out the Fires of Anarchy "Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the "fire" of my jealousy. For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent [‘shoulder to shoulder’ NAS]." Zephaniah 3:8-9
of the end. No man knows, so we need to turn to God’s Word for guidance each day of our lives. Today, many are looking towards men for guidance, but the best guidance you can get is from God’s Word. The Hoy Bible has the words of life built into it, so ask God for help, and He will show you the way.
Do you know the way to Jesus Christ? May I suggest you read the Book of John, Chapter 3, Verses 5 through 8 for direction? Let me ask you another question. Do you think that we are we the last generation to live on this earth? These days, many are proclaiming that the end is near. I don’t know if the end is imminent, but I do know that the angels didn’t know either. However, the Lord God is The Someone who knows the final moments of time, as He is All-Knowing. You and I don’t know the final moments of time, but by reading God‘s Word, we can start to understand what is coming. The Bible shows the way, and by reading it, we can stay in touch with Him, and gain some of the answers we crave. We need to learn about the future events, and not be afraid. He loves you and me!
Let me close with this: 1 Corinthians 15: 3 and 4. The Apostle Paul says, “For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.”
The angels didn’t know Jesus Christ was coming, because The Father didn’t tell them. He is alive today and is coming back soon, so read His Word to get prepared! It will give us the direction we need.
